Greetings,

My name is Brian Lamers, and for the past 13 years, I have had the privilege of being a part of the Excelsior family, with ten of those years dedicated to leadership roles. Throughout my career, I have not only served as an educator but also as a coach, fostering growth both in the classroom and on the playing field. I initially started as a social science teacher, where I had the opportunity to instill a passion for knowledge and critical thinking in my students. As an advocate for holistic education, I also took on coaching responsibilities, leading the golf, baseball, and girls basketball teams. These experiences have shaped my approach to leadership, emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and resilience.

My journey as an educator has been driven by a firm belief in the power of education to transform lives. I strive to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore their full potential. My goal as a principal is to foster a school culture that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and a sense of community. I firmly believe that every student has unique talents and abilities, and it is our duty to nurture and celebrate their individual strengths.

As a principal, I am committed to open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement. I believe in forging strong relationships with students, parents, and teachers, working together to create a supportive network that nurtures the success of every member of our school community. By fostering a safe and respectful environment, we can inspire students to become lifelong learners, compassionate individuals, and active contributors to society.
